TechTown Foundation is partnering with Bess T. Shepherd Elementary to provide an Extended Learning After School Program. This project is funded under a Grant Contract with the State of Tennessee. TechTown Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the focus of providing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education for youth ages 7 – 17.
The 21st Century Extended Learning Program (21st CELP) strives to provide a safe, educationally enriching, fun and rewarding experience for students during the after school hours of 3:00pm – 5:15pm. Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities that will benefit them emotionally, physically, and educationally. The program includes snacks, homework help, specialized tutoring, and STEAM-based enrichment activities such as robotics, coding, 3D design, circuitry, and film. Staff trained to meet the needs of children and to provide positive adult role models conduct the program.
